In order to validate the innovations, the technologies developed by Center of Innovations in Nutrition” in IRSHA, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) awarded two world Bank assisted major projects under its “NATIONAL AGRICULURAL INNOVATION PROJECTS”.

1. Sustainable Rural Livelihood Security for the Backward Districts of Maharashtra.

2. Linseed Value Addition for Profitability.

These projects lasted seven years from 2007 to 2014. The work enabled us to validate our Flax Biovillage concept and establish Backward linkage with linseed growing farmers and validate the omega-3 products consumer acceptability by test marketing through associated Industrial partner. The project ended on March 31,2014.

In recognition to our outstanding work ICAR has granted Baharati Vidyapeeth University “ICAR (AICRP) Linseed Value Addition Center” for planning the expansion of the work to rest of the ICAR linseed centers in different parts of the country.

We continued the initiative consolidated in ICAR projects at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University by establishing a not for profit company “REAL WORLD NUTRITION LABORATORY FOUNDATION”.
